In Italy, every year on March 8th, millions of women and men around the world celebrate International Women’s Day known as “La Festa della Donna.” The day is an observance and celebration of women in contemporary society, and remains a favorite holiday of Italians.

To celebrate La Festa della Donna, a four course dinner and live auction benefit will be held at Walter’s Aquaviva, located upstairs at 286 Atwells Avenue on Sunday, March 12, 2006 with an early dinner at 5:00pm.

Proceeds from the live auction will benefit the Elizabeth Buffum Chase Center , one of six centers in Rhode Island that offers shelter and other services to victims of domestic violence.
