Trinity Restoration Inc., a non-profit organized to restore the old Trinity Theater, the birthplace of Trinity Rep, has organized a benefit concert taking place on December 20. They have quite a lineup of local jazz and gospel artists, including: The Kim Trusty Band, Geoffrey Hicks Quartet, percussionist Jorge Najarro, a 30-voice gospel choir, saxophonist Chelsa Bailey, jazz violinist David Eure, and storyteller Valerie Tutson. This will be a great opportunity to view the old theater before renovations begin as well as a great concert.
There is a reception prior to the concert from 5:30 to 6:30 PM . Proceeds from all ticket sales benefit the restoration of the old Trinity Theater by Trinity Restoration Inc.
Tickets are available through ArtTix, an online ticketing service designed to keep ticket proceeds local, provided by the local non-profit Arts & Business Council of RI.
