Music provided by Empty House Cooperative.

Enjoy hot cider, doughnuts, and wood-fired pizza while you take in the performance. The event will also feature a bowl sale by the Steel Yard Ceramic Artist Cooperative.

We are looking for volunteers, contact Jackson at  jackson@thesteelyard.org or (401) 273-7101 if you are interested in helping out.

AUDITIONS FOR A NEW IMPROVISATION TROUPE IN PROVIDENCE

October 19, 2009 by Mike Ritz

Although I am interested in verbal communication, this troupe will first focus on physical communication. The manipulation of props, movement, clowning and juggling. You don’t have to be a skilled juggler to audition. Only someone who is interested exploring possibilities, can take direction and wants to have fun.

Together we will develop improvisation games, hone our skills, and, if we feel ready, we will explore public places to perform. My hope is that we can develop an improvisation show that can be performed inside and at outside venues.

Auditions: October 24 from 10-1
October 28 from 8-9
Place: Perishable Theater
Empire Street, Providence, Right next to AS220
To reserve a half hour audition slot:
e-mail Marvin Novogrodski at: marv@marvmarv.com
Marvin Novogrodski, a Rhode Island artist, is a 20-year veteran of the Everett Dance Theatre. He has collaborated on all their evening concerts and have toured throughout the USA with the company. He currents tours 3 children’s shows under the guise of Marvelous Marvin. Check out his web site at www.marvmarv.com.

The people have voted and Travel + Leisure has published the results. Providence scored high in many categories. It probably comes as no surprise that our food and airport are getting top ranks.

CHECK IT OUT!
